Opening Comments

Baroness / Eva: Been a busy month, esp last month – the Cast Iron Chef went wonderfully, and already there's been a request for a Cooking Guild Cookbook, and we'll be doing it next year.

Baron / Jon Thomme: What she said. (yay!)

Seneschal / Auggie: On to the officers.

Officer Reports

Arts and Sciences / Cristal: Everything same as last month. May 18 A&S at Eilidh's place, taught by Aliskye: Scribal things. Sunday June 27 – Glass bead making at Calle Mayor July, TBA. Hope everyone had fun at CIC (that was our A&S for April). We've had some interest in Team Lyondemere for Pentathlon, so please talk to me if you'd like to join us. I'd like to start some Pentathlon workshops, instructors, etc.

Arts and Sciences: Scribe / Aliskye: We had a scriptorium Sunday, 1 person showed. Next is Same day as Queen's Champion, so if you're in town here, you can work on scrolls at my house. I have some new ideas for working on scrolls. If you are prepping for Coronation, deadline May 22. Remember, we are a "Hot Bed of Scribal Activity" in Lyondemere.

Chatelaine / Siobhan: We've had a couple of newcomers to new things, Sorcha and Katina, also Kelsey and her fiance plan to come to Coffee this Friday. (Aiming for first Friday for Coffee, each month)

Children / Ruan: Her Highness visited at Collegium, because She will be spending an hour with Youth at each event she attends. This is one of her goals, to be part of Youth Point every event.

Chronicler / Pierre: Haven't done much yet, but I'm working on the next issue right now. Hope to have it out this week.

Constable / Fedelm: Nothing to report. My deputy will be taking over in July.

Deputy Exchequer / Seraphina: (proxy report) We still have money. We got the receipts in for Arts and Archery, we even made a little bit of money.

Herald / Tighearnan: Not much to report at the moment. I'm available if you have submissions. My deputy is the lady Avice, who will be taking over in July. Avice has attended a few Kingdom CoH meetings already. Upcoming dates for CoH Mtgs, May 16

Lists / Wulfric: People's Champion at Wed night, Chiara will report (there were 7 competitors) and it ran rather smoothly. If the marshals would like my assistance, please speak with me (Archery, Thrown Weapons, Rapier, and Armored Combat).

Marshal (Armored Combat)/ Ungust: Just got back from a month in Hawai'i. Wed. practice has been very light, even lighter than normal. Nothing else to report. One nearly authorized fighter a few months ago, showing progress.

Marshal (Rapier Combat)/ Chiara: People's Champion April 7, seven competitors, Robert Lanternsmith our winner (Dafydd was a destructive bye). 3-4 fighters Monday and 5+ fighters Wednesdays. Also, Dafydd and Chiara are almost fully marshaled with Caid (transfer from Drachenwald).

Marshal (Archery) / Rino: Christina: Practices on Tue./Thu. are light right now. Rino and Rekon are working on Caid Open Archery Sept. 18. QC Archery will be at Nordwache Anniversary.

Noe College / Andreu: Not here, no report.

Idunn College / Wulfric: Regular attendance on Mondays getting us new members. Folks are looking forward to Potrero. CiC lunch table from the college students went well.

Sexton / Etiennette: I have a Deputy: Conchobhar. Preparations for Potrero, do we have a Camp Mom/Dad? Eva & Jon Thomme. Eva & Siobhan are doing Meal Plan. Jon Thomme: New Bins? We should do that before Potrero. Etiennette: Talking with Amya re: Anniversary.

Webwright / Eilidh: Adding content to Lyondemere Anniversary ad. Eva: Can we add the monthly minutes to web?

Guild Reports

Bardic Guild / Cecilia: On hiatus, while Cecilia is out of town.

Dagda's Cauldron (Cooking Guild) / Eva: Lovely meeting yesterday re: Garlic, and a big pot of Dublin Cottle. Talked about camping foods. This month we held CIC, congrats to all the competitors. Four ingredients (1 for each team): Rose petals, Artichokes, Strawberries, Almonds. Team Beathog won! This next month meeting: Outdoor cooking (spit-roasted chicken, dutch overcooking) at Eva's, more details to follow. July Recipe redacting at Cristal's. August we cook our July recipes. Dagda's Cauldron will cook the Baroness's Lunch for Anniversary. We are also competing in the Siege Cook-Off at Potrero. Get food 5 pm Friday, Bring back Saturday at 5 pm. No limit on team size, minimum of three. Everyone can help! ? Potrero War Siege Cook-Off, eight dishes. Expecting documentation: Mystery ingredients, unlabeled. It's hard to get in, so thank you to Siobhan for getting us in the small team list.

Baronial Sewing Guild / Grainne: Not here, nothing to report.

Old Business

Potrero War (May 28-31) / Amya: Sign up for your Scullery Duty for all the Meal Plan participants. Eva: Happy to Announce that Amya is in charge of Scullery at Potrero. She makes it very fun and efficient!

Lyondemere Anniversary (July 24) / Amya: You should all come! Fun activities: Archery, Thrown Weapons, Armored Combat, Rapier, Crimson Spade, Youth Point, Dante's Inferno, Basket Raffle (last year's theme "A Patronage of the Arts") … looking to see that same spirit this year: Donate your hand-made numbers. People's Choice Arts Competition "Summer Time in Lyondemere." Auggie: Planning Meeting Thursday, 7:30 PM Thu May 6 at Polly's Pies. Amya: How many tables does the Barony own? Two plastic, one wood: We need lists, barony tables, arts competition, children's, Idunn college snacks, Basket Raffle, etc. Auggie: We can check with the Royal trailer. Maybe we can use some of the Calle Mayor tables. Amya: What about Potrero? We need at least one for scullery. How many eric poles? (26) Is that enough for Anniv? Ruan: Youth Point must be in the central arrangement for the layout.

Black Rose Ball Oct 16, 2010 – Cristal: Fundraiser to provide food and drinks, Theme "field of cloth of gold, Henry the 8th" selling fabric, if you have donations, please contact us. Fundraiser at Anniv, see Angelina, Cassandra, Cristal, or Johanna. Prefer SCA fabrics, or SCA-usable (like calicoes and cotton prints for mockups, lining,etc).

Fall Coronation and Queen's Champion 2011 – November, need Autocrat bids.

Ungust – Kell's Hearth in Barbarian Freehold Alliance, have permission to re-activate the household. If you're interested in this service household, please contact me.

Jon Thomme – Robin Greenwood is still in the hospital, please drop him a card if you can. He'd love comedy and hand-made notes.

Eowyn – I have extra T-tunics I can donate to anyone interested.
